Description: Recognizes the Vendor Support Technician who best exemplifies the characteristics of professionalism, service, and expertise, as voted by peers, staff and judges throughout the Industry Awards process.
Qualification: The Support Technician must be employed by a vendor within the mobile electronics industry. His / her primary job function must be to provide technical support to mobile electronics retailers.
Nomination Process: A support technician may be nominated by a mobile electronics retailer, distributor, or rep firm. This automatically qualifies the person to be voted on by the mobile electronics industry.
Nominees may submit a video highlighting why they should receive the award, with a maximum running time of 10 minutes. Nominations are uploaded to YouTube (public or private) and the links are sent to the mobile electronics staff.
The video need not be professionally produced, however, please speak loud and clear and answer questions in the order they are listed:
- Name, Vendor name, and years of experience
- How customers would describe you
- Biggest challenge (personal or professional) you’ve overcome in the past year
- Why should you be Support Technician of the Year
Selection Process: Video submissions are used as a basis for industry voting. Only industry professionals are allowed to vote. The top 5 finalists are determined and announced after all votes are verified and counted.
Award Process: The winner (based on the highest number of verified votes) is announced at the Mobile Electronics Industry Awards. The business receives an award and certificate, as well as a digital certificate and logos for marketing.
